Born in Istanbul in 1979, she graduated from Marmara University's School of Physical Education and Sports. With past experience as a professional basketball player, she started her athletic career with track and field. While her main discipline is basketball, she also works as a gymnastics instructor.
In her 18th year of teaching, Alev Bacacı has achieved provincial and national rankings with her school basketball teams.
She loves the sun, playing sports, and visiting historical places.
She works as a Physical Education Teacher at the Serpil Yazıcı Campus of Fide Schools.
